Works perfectly for quick and even salting of my driveway and sidewalk. Saves on salt use compared to free handing it with a cup. The easy twist open lid is great for fast reload. The only note is the salt can get stuck in the grooves of the twist open design. So I've learned to lightly knock the side to knock any particulates free before trying to open the lid. I haven't had any problems with it getting "stuck" since.

This product looks nice and was so easy to use. You simply turn the green top a little and take the top right off. The handle is easy to grip and I was able to dip the entire thing right into my salt bag to grab what I needed. The top was a little harder to turn once it got some salt pellets stuck in it but was easy enough to dislodge. And at one point I was able to even just use it without the top on. I think this product is wonderful for anything that you need to spread.The product gives you the ability to determine how fast/how much you wants to come out at once which is wonderful.The only annoyance was that when I put the entire thing in the bag some got into the handle. But that is simply an annoyance and truly not a big deal.

This Garden Guru tool is a great multi-use tool that’s very well made and sturdy — definitely not cheap plastic. I’ve only used it so far for salt, and it works perfectly. The adjustable twist cap with multiple opening sizes makes it easy to control how much you’re spreading, depending on the task. It’s been especially helpful for salting the sidewalk during this cold, icy Midwest winter. Lightweight, easy to use, and very practical. I’m sure it will be great for seeds and fertilizer as well when warmer weather comes. Highly recommend!
