the locking mechanisim is very rinky dink

These are not fancy, but they do a great job and they are well built. Nice and sharp, and easy to sharpen yourself if you need to do that. The foam handles will degrade over time, of course, but you can just replace those yourself if you wish or simply do without. Especially if you’re already wearing gloves, the foam handles aren’t really necessary anyway. The action is nice and smooth, the blade stay parallel even if you apply them a little off center, and they’re easy to clean up once your job is done. Our only minimal complaint is they can be easy to lose since their color is dark, but we remedy that with some durable orange paint so they are easy to see if you put them down. All in all, very satisfied.

These are very good pruners that I would say is knock off of the classic Corona pruners. I wish I had my old Corona pruners and I have nothing to compare them too. I consider them a nice copy! I had the Corona pruners for at least 15 years but lost them.They even come pre-oiled. They are properly sharp. They cut almost any small branches under 3/4 of an inch just fine. I just cannot see them cutting a one inch size branch. Anyone will not have a problem using these pruners. I am used to the classic Corona pruners, and except for the handle grips they feel just like the Corona Pruners. The price is really low, and using them is not a chore.

I bought two. My wife & I use them all the time. They hold their sharpness. Couldn't be happier with this product.
