I got this for helping me remove leaf mulch from around my plants in the spring. It’s winter still so I was only able to test it in snow as the ground is still frozen solid. The quality of the tines seems solid though and it has plenty of flex so I’m fairly confident I’ll be able to use it around my more delicate emerging plants in spring.Over all it’s a nice little hand rake with a comfortable grip.

Perfect to clean out the base of the plants. Keeps everything in order and healthy.

This hand rake is absolutely superb for being such the great bargain that it is. To start, it looks exactly like the stock images from its description and that's always a good thing with me. The handle is top of the line. It's both large and sturdy, so much so that it feels like a professional and much more expensive garden tool than it is. It's also super smooth, and it fits so well in my hand that simply holding it feels extremely natural to me. It even has a concave impression in the exact spot where my thumb normally rests itself, lending further to the outstanding grip and ergonomic comfort. The steel tines are just like the ones on my full size version, except they're shorter, which makes them much easier to control and maneuver in close quarters. Especially when I'm using it in and around the planters that contain my finer, and more delicate greenery. It's been excellent for leveling and tilling the surfaces of the homemade sand based composts I wanted it for. It consistently makes evenly spaced, shallow channel lines that are perfect for my seeds that require surfacetop sowing. Those channels will protect the seeds while still letting them get the full sunlight they need to trigger their germination. That's why I would definitely want this hand rake again if I had a do-over, and I thank you for the opportunity to try it and find out.

I was very pleasantly surprised when I got this rake. It is much more sturdy than I expected. The rake part is nice and springy, great for thatching small areas. The handle is a good size, and comfortable. It's the wrong time of year for me to actually use this to see how it holds up, but I always update my reviews if something changes from my original review.
