The big scoop hand trowel is always one of the key tools in our garden kit, especially since we use it like a mini shovel for everything - dirt, mulch, gravel, dog poop, etc. Very handy! We recently had to switch out our old one and, fortunately, this one hits all the aspects we like.It comes with a sturdy and large hand grip, and the strong metal of the trowel seems to be durable to last for years with care. Also, the scoop size is deep like we want.Green thumbs up for being of good size and overall quality.
I was looking for a solid hand trowel that would work well both in the garden and for indoor repotting, and this one definitely delivered. The deep scoop holds a good amount of soil, which makes transferring potting mix much faster and cleaner than using a standard narrow trowel. It is especially nice for repotting larger plants without making a mess. The handle is comfortable and easy to grip, and the tool feels sturdy without being too heavy. It works well for scooping, moving, and placing soil right where you want it. This has quickly become my go to trowel for everyday plant care and gardening tasks, and I am very happy with it.
My first impression of this garden scoop was that it’s very sturdy and well made. I really appreciate the attention to detail in the design. They placed a groove on top for your thumb and finger grooves underneath that make the handle very comfortable to hold and easy to control. The scoop itself is a great size for scooping soil.I honestly can’t believe I’ve been using spades to scoop soil for so long. With a spade, dirt always seems to fall out, but this scoop keeps everything contained and goes exactly where you direct it. It also works very well for mixing soil and compost in pots, and I expect it will be just as useful in raised garden beds. Overall, a great garden tool that’s become a favorite to use.
Nice quality garden shovel. It’s sturdy, pretty durable, and easy to clean. Did a great job at helping me dig up some winter radishes out of the hard soil. The blade is fairly thin, which makes it easy to shovel up hard soil without much force (see photo). The handle has a molded shape to it that makes it comfortable to hold, and I found that my fingers weren’t as tired as they are with my basic straight handled garden shovel I got from HD. Overall I’m happy with it, the size of the shovel is perfect for gardening and can hold quite a lot of soil. Very happy with it, it works well for what I need it for (working in my garden), and the price isn’t bad either.
I do a lot of gardening and I like to work by hand; I can be tough on hand tools but I haven't had any problems with this and I don't think I ever will! It's pretty heavy but not tiring and it feels good in the hand. I have hard soil in some areas and these make short work of it. It does a good job scooping soil from the bag, getting quite a bit in one scoop. For the quality, the price is pretty good, especially since it'll last for more than one season. I belong to a gardening club and I've recommended it to my friends with no reservation.
